What You Need to Know
Selecting a contractor to replace your floor or build your entire house is a decision that should be made carefully, and after much consideration. If your contractor isn't willing to be honest about who they are, is that someone you can trust? So let us tell you a little bit about who we are and why we're crazy enough to do this.

While we might be a newer company founded at the end of 2022, our founders have decades of construction experience and business acumen. Together Sean and Klaus bring a wide ranging set of skills to bear upon our company, which allows us to take a multifaceted approach to construction, seeing problems that others may not before they arise, and having the tool set to find creative solutions to construction challenges. We believe there is no substitute for experience, and the more varied your knowledge the more tools at your disposal.

Why did you name the company Sweat Equity Construction?
To remind us that our core mission is to create value ( equity ) for our clients. So we never forget it takes hard work; getting sweaty. And to never take ourselves too seriously.

Klaus
As the name would imply Klaus is a big fan of German beer. And like any old world, European has a meticulous eye for craftsmanship. This stems from his early days, working with his father in their family millwork shop, to a stint with the federal government where you can’t help but love order of operations. His career has seen him managing a multi million dollar department for a big box construction retailer, working as a construction labourer, and over 6 years as site supervisor for 2 large home builders, constructing over 30 new homes annually.
Klaus brings to Sweat Equity an extensive knowledge of materials, building processes, code compliance and a network of relations with various trades cultivated after years of front line industry involvement. He also has hands on knowledge of each piece of the building process and the experience to do the work.
Sean
Sean comes to sweat, equity construction from a varied background in business, customer relations and trades knowledge. He’s an established entrepreneur with a mind for carefully calculated risk, and focuses his business success on defining value for his customers. For the past 18 years he’s also been a self-employed business owner who has achieved great success in his field managing a team of 7 amazing employees. While Sean is an adept builder in his own right, he brings an organizational knowledge and customer service mindset, often lacking in the construction industry.
